Velocity is a special program within TKS for innovators who want to push past their current limits. We designed Velocity for those who are putting in the work and want extra guidance, motivation, and support. The goal is to grow 10x by focusing in a specific area and relentlessly pursuing excellence. If you choose to join Velocity, TKS will be your #1 priority and there will be an increase in time commitment in order to achieve the results. This is why we have made Velocity separate from the current program, as we understand that not everyone can prioritize the work they're doing at TKS and dedicate the time required.
You should join Velocity if...
- You know you have much more potential but haven't reached it yet.
- You want to be pushed, motivated, and guided to achieve your ultimate potential.
- You are willing to put in the work to achieve exponential growth.
- You are hungry to learn and tackle complex and daunting problems, which may require you to learn at the Masters/PhD level. It will be difficult, but you welcome facing difficulty because you know that's how you're going to accelerate your growth.
- You know in the short-term it won't all be "fun", but you're in it for the long-term results.
- You are committed to making TKS your #1 priority.
Requirements during Velocity:
- Arrive to TKS 30min before your cohort starts for a special Velocity meeting.

Next Steps:
To join Velocity, you must send your Director a Slack message with the responses to the following questions:
- What do you think is holding you back from your full potential?
- What do you want to accomplish by the end of TKS?
- What drives you to work hard?
We want to make sure you're committed and have the time.
Lastly...
Your parents should also be onboard, as you will grow significantly and they should know what's happening. You will need to ask your parents for permission to do velocity and explain to them what it means.
Velocity is not for everyone, and we are expecting a small number of TKS Innovators to join. So don't feel like you need to join if you know this isn't for you.
FAQ:
Q: When does Velocity start?
A: It starts 8 weeks into TKS.
Q: Can I join Velocity later?
A: Yes, you can opt-in anytime you want. If you have a ton of clubs, commitments, and work right now, you don't have to join. You might want to clear your schedule so you can do Velocity properly.
Q: I'm a keener that likes to join all the clubs and new things, is that a good reason for joining Velocity?
A: I made that question up, BUT still relevant to so many of you (you know who you are). Velocity is not another club to join. It's literally a way of life. It is meant to completely level you up. Make sure you're joining for the right reasons - you want to accelerate your growth.
Q: What if I'm really busy one week and miss the requirement, will I get kicked out?
A: Communication is key. If you communicate to your director that you have a busy week (3-5 days in advance), then that's ok. But you can't do that frequently. I know stuff can come up, so when it does, just make sure to communicate. But if it happens often, you probably shouldn't be in Velocity.
Q: Can I be late to the weekly meetings?
A: I made this one up too. No, you can't be late. You need to be 5min early for Velocity. Treat Velocity like an important business meeting with a group of intelligent people.
Q: Will my marks go down?
A: Joining this special program is about achieving personal longterm growth. You marks changing is up to you to manage. We will teach you how to be successful in life, not just at school.
